If you currently work as an IT professional, or have aspirations to do so, earning a Microsoft certification can help you attain great levels of professional success within the field. Earning a certification as a trained professional in Microsoft application can get you the job you want, and the respect you deserve.

If your ultimate career goal involves working as an Information Technology (IT) professional in a medium to large-scale organization, one of the best things that you can do professionally is to earn a Microsoft Certification. This will almost guarantee placement as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or Network Technician, with the ability to plan, implement, maintain, and repair several different Microsoft applications.

There are several types of Microsoft Certifications that you can work for and receive, based on your interest and skill level.

* MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) - this certification proves the ability of an IT professional to plan, coordinate, implement, and provide troubleshooting and support using current Microsoft server products. Requires completion of 1 or more years of practical experience with the applications in order to qualify for certification.
* MCAD and MCSD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer and Microsoft Certified Software Developer) - Acknowledges an IT professional's qualifications to build and develop certain Microsoft applications and software. Requires 2 or more years of practical experience in order to qualify for certification.
* MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Analyst) - Acknowledges an IT professional's ability to manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems.
* MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) - Certified experts in instruction and training, these IT professionals implement instructional programs for organizations using Microsoft applications.

By demonstrating the knowledge and expertise needed to master Microsoft applications, a Microsoft certified IT professional has proven that he or she has the ability to effectively implement and manage any Microsoft-based network. Not only can the IT professional plan, implement, and maintain Microsoft systems and applications, but he or she can also work with other professionals in order to train and educate them in the use of Microsoft products. Earning a Microsoft certification is a type of insurance that an IT professional will reach his or her fullest career potential.
